I was born and raised in Philadelphia. I’ve lived in Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey. A former musician, singer, songwriter, artist, banker, and advertising executive. I’ve been all over and have seen much. This blog is about some of my adventures and encounters with some of the men and women I’ve met since I moved back to Philly from Manhattan. I’ve added older Philadelphia stories, New Jersey and California!

Official Bio:

Charles Wiedenmann is the author of Lawndale, Stories from my Youth: Growing up in Northeast Philadelphia in the 60s and 70s, and Down The Shore, Stories from my Summers in Wildwood in the 70s. 

Other published non-fiction works include Phicklephilly, the true story of one man’s journey to find love in Philadelphia. Phicklephilly 2, Sun Stories: Tales from a Tanning Salon, and Crazy Dating Stories. His fiction titles include Island Serenade, Angel With A Broken Wing, and Below The Wheel. 

Since 2016, his blog Phicklephilly has been published globally every week. Charles grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and spent summers in Wildwood, NJ. He worked in finance and advertising for 30 years and now resides in Philadelphia, PA.

I also offer Dating and Relationship Advice.

Stories are told from a gentleman’s perspective. All stories will be told to the best of my recollection. All names have been changed to protect the subjects. Unless noted, all photos are stock photos collected from the internet.
