So I watched Death in Paradise on Netflix and fell in love with Sara Martins. I literally felt a tear roll down my cheek during the last scene of her last episode. I was heartbroken. (See: Sara Martins – The Actress I Fell In Love With)

What was the point in watching this show anymore? It’ll suck now.

Then they introduced Josephine….

Joséphine Jobert (born 24 April 1985 in Paris) is a French actress and singer.

Biography

Jobert is the daughter of Véronique Mucret Rouveyrollis, a photographer, musician, writer, actor, and director, and Charles Jobert, a camera operator and director of photography. Her father is of French and Algerian Jewish descent, and her mother’s ancestry is Martiniquaise, Spanish and Chinese. Jobert comes from a family of artists, which includes her paternal aunt Marlène Jobert and cousins Eva Green and Elsa Lunghini.[1][2]

In 1997, aged 12, she moved with her parents to Montreal, Canada, for eight years, where she studied singing and acting, and took her first steps into television. With her friends and her parents, she participated in the creation of songs, videos, a web series, and a television series on the Internet. She attended drama workshops by Stéphane Belugou as well as Coda Music School.[3]

Career

From 2008 to 2014, Jobert had steady work in various French television series. In 2015 she took on her first English-language role, as Officer Florence Cassell in the BBC One series Death in Paradise.

  3. sara Martins was irreplaceable. Josephine is a terrible actress with almost no charisma or charm. you can even notice her doing her lines too quickly after someone speaks. she’s just a filler and they don’t write any back stories for her like they did for Martins.
    I hope she gets replaced. and Dwayne also left (not going to be in s8)the show because of the dumbing down of his character in s7.

    martins was far hotter than Josephine.

    1. sad to hear Dwayne is leaving. i love his character. I Love Sara but Josephine was a band aid for me. She has lovely caramel legs, and I think that negated my mind from her acting ability! I do love the show though!

  4. Unkind comments towards the female stars serves little purpose. Both Sarah and Josephine were stars in their own right, oh and both decent on the cornea👀

  5. No offense to Josephine Jobert, but the character of Florence was not anywhere near as developed as Sara Martin’s Camille. I found Florence a lackluster character. Ho hum. And, in truth, nobody could ever replace Sara Martins…..in anything. Sara Martins has a unique charisma and presence that is hers alone. No comparisons.
